ROBERT LEWIS GALINSKY

Robert has nearly 25 years of experience working in the film business in the United States and Australia.

He won several screenwriting awards as an amateur in the United States, and got his first work in 1989 with rewriting a number of successful film scripts, including FLATLINERS, and subsequently studied under and was mentored by Academy Award ™nominee and multi-Emmy Award ™ nominee Lawrence Heath (TRIUMPH OF THE WILL, MURDER SHE WROTE). At that time he was one of only 40 students nationwide selected for the Truby Black Belt Program. (the most prestigious screenwriting academy in the world) headed up by John Truby. (www.truby.com). Other produced credits include AMERICAS LEAST WANTED (LA Blues ABC) and EASY PICKINS.

In 1994 Galinsky moved to Australia with a successful Disney franchise/licensing business which combined with his love of mainstream cinema has given Galinsky an innate knowledge of what drives successful film, television, and ancillary income streams. As one of the two principals of Top Cat Films, Galinsky produced the AUD $4.0m supernatural thriller PREY starring singer/actress Natalie Bassingthwaight and Jesse Johnson (son of MIAMI VICE’s Don Johnson).
